WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Tale of Two Trees Landscape Photography Composite Course Introduction

1 – SHOOTING ON LOCATION

In our first lesson, we set out to shoot our images on location. We begin by capturing an image of our cherry blossom tree, which lives behind a grocery store. From there, we travel to the amazing Sangri de Cristo Mountains for a panoramic landscape of our setting. And finally, we turn our sites to the Colorado Sky for a nice set of clouds to be used for sky replacement.

2- ORGANIZING IMAGES IN LIGHTROOM

Now that we have our images captured, it’s time to jump into Lightroom to get organized. In this lesson, we will select the best images from our various locations and use them as the building blocks for Photoshop composite.

3-Building the Environment – Photoshop Sky Replacement

In this lesson we fire up Photoshop to begin building our environment. We need a place to plant our tree, and the mountain landscape provides the perfect setting. A quick sky replacement sets the scene just perfectly.

5 – Painting with Blossoms

In this lesson, we learn how to build a seamless integration into the scene by hand-painting new cherry blossoms onto our tree.

Tale of Two Trees Finishing Touches

6 – Finishing Touches

Now that our tree has been fully composited into its new environment, we used Photoshop’s powerful adjustment layers to paint with light and create a dreamy, artistic vision of our final artwork.
