MODULE 1 – GETTING STARTED
Course Roadmap

COURSE ROADMAP

Here, we give you a step by step layout of the topics this course will cover. We will look at planning a photo shoot, scouting locations and selecting the right gear. Then we’ll go outside and show you how to capture winning images on location. And finally, we’ll finish things off in Lightroom and Photoshop with an easy to use digital workflow.

Gear Talk

GEAR TALK! CAMERAS AND LENSES

I have way too much camera gear. . . Said no photographer ever! JT, Ashley and Lewis break down a list of all the equipment you need to shoot portraits on location. We talk cameras, lenses and everything in between.

Model Go Bag

MODEL GO BAG

Ashley takes us where no one has ever gone before, inside her model go bag. Shoes, wardrobe, hair spray, you name it! She breaks down everything that a new model needs to shoot portraits on location.

SCOUTING LOCATIONS

SCOUTING LOCATIONS

Shooting portraits outside takes careful planning, and one of the best things you can do is scout your locations ahead of time. We’ll show you what to look for in a great portrait location and how to create a map of all your favorite places.

ORGANIZING YOUR PHOTOS

ORGANIZING YOUR DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY PORTFOLIO

This subject does not often get a lot of attention. And yet, organization is absolutely critical to maintaining a healthy photography portfolio. In this episode, we will discuss best practices for keeping your digital files organized. When you have thousands of images in your portfolio, finding specific photos can be a huge challenge. . . unless you have a good system.
